The Visibility Sessions · Episode 4 with Sabine Matharu
In this episode of The Visibility Sessions, I sat down with the wonderful Sabine Matharu, Visibility Mentor and founder of “Coffee & Clients,” to talk about something every business owner struggles with at some point : how to stay consistently visible without burning out.
I adore Sabine’s approach to visibility because it’s grounded, strategic and realistic – especially for coaches, creatives and service providers who feel pressured to be online all the time.
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed trying to “keep up” with content, or you’ve posted inconsistently because life got busy, this episode will feel like a deep exhale.
What Evergreen Visibility Actually Means (and Why It Matters)
We opened the conversation by talking about what “evergreen visibility” really looks like. Sabine explained that visibility doesn’t need to mean posting daily or showing up relentlessly.
Instead, evergreen visibility is about creating content, systems and assets that continue to work long after you’ve created them.
- Blog posts
- Podcasts
- Email sequences
- Lead magnets
- PR features
- YouTube videos
As Sabine put it:
“It’s about being visible in a way that’s sustainable for your life and your energy.”

The Visibility Sessions, Episode 4
This is something I see constantly in PR too. One strong press piece can work for you for months or even years – that’s evergreen visibility in action.
Why Reactive Marketing Leads Straight to Burnout
Sabine and I talked about a visibility trap so many business owners fall into: reactive content creation.
This happens when you:
- decide what to post only when you’re about to post
- constantly feel behind
- feel guilty when you’re not online
- create from pressure rather than purpose
Instead, visibility needs to come from intention, planning and aligned strategy, not panic or last-minute scrambles.
Evergreen Content vs “Always On” Content
One of the most powerful parts of our conversation was Sabine’s distinction between always-on visibility and evergreen visibility:
Always-on visibility : Posting constantly, showing up daily, being online endlessly.
Evergreen visibility : Creating long-lasting content that continues to attract, nurture and convert.
Evergreen content includes things like:
- articles with SEO value
- podcast interviews
- guest features
- YouTube videos
- signature frameworks
- story-based posts
- pillar Instagram content
Why Consistency Doesn’t Mean Posting Every Day
This is one of the biggest misconceptions in visibility.
Consistency does not mean:
- posting constantly
- having no breaks
- being online every day
- doing everything at once
Sabine reminds us that “consistency” simply means:
showing up in a strategic rhythm with content aligned to your message, in a way that works for your energy and capacity, supported by systems that keep things moving.
It’s far better to have a sustainable plan than an intense burst followed by silence, something so many business owners experience.
The Power of Repurposing (You’re Already Sitting on Gold)
One of Sabine’s superpowers is helping business owners see how much content they already have.
She talked about how easy it is to believe you need to constantly reinvent when actually, you can:
- turn a long post into 5 short posts
- turn a story into a podcast topic
- turn a podcast into a blog
- turn a blog into an email sequence
- turn a client conversation into content
- turn an old idea into a refreshed piece
Sabine calls repurposing “visibility multiplication,” because it allows one idea to reach multiple people across multiple platforms.
This is especially helpful for anyone layering PR into their strategy, because repurposed stories and frameworks strengthen your media pitch, your expert positioning and your overall brand message.
Why Visibility Should Support Your Life (Not Take Over Your Life)
One of my favourite parts of the conversation was when Sabine spoke about creating visibility.
Visibility should fit :
- your energy
- your strengths
- your schedule
- your priorities
- your business model
- your personal season of life
Sabine said something so important :
“You don’t have to be everywhere. You just have to be where it matters – in a way you can maintain.”
This is the heart of sustainable visibility.
The Emotional Side of Visibility No One Talks About
Visibility isn’t just strategy, it’s emotional work.
Sabine and I talked about:
- the fear of being judged
- the pressure to keep up
- comparison
- creative blocks
- visibility fatigue
- the confidence dips that come with growth
This part of the conversation was so honest.
We both agreed that visibility requires not just tools and tactics but self-trust and emotional resilience.
You don’t need to feel confident all the time to show up, you just need a system that supports you on the days you feel wobbly.
Sabine’s Favourite Sustainable Visibility Strategies
Here are the strategies Sabine recommends most often:
Create evergreen assets monthly : Blogs, videos, podcasts, PR features.
Use repurposing as your default : Multiply your ideas instead of constantly creating new ones.
Build simple systems : Templates, content banks, schedules, batching.
Focus on your message : Be known for something clear and consistent.
Make your content work harder for you : Turn one idea into five touchpoints.
Choose platforms intentionally : Don’t be everywhere, be relevant.
Prioritise rest: Because visibility isn’t sustainable without energy.
All of these make visibility feel lighter, calmer and more strategic.
Final Thoughts
Evergreen visibility is one of the most powerful ways to grow your business without sacrificing your wellbeing.
As Sabine reminds us, visibility doesn’t have to feel heavy.
It doesn’t have to be constant.
It simply needs to be intentional, sustainable and supportive.
