Claire Mitchell – The Girls Mean Business
Claire is a popular business coach who runs coaching group The Girls Mean Business. She had built up a big following on social media, but wanted to build up her profile in the press, particularly in media outlets relevant to female business owners and ‘mumpreneurs’. She also had some roadshows in different UK cities that she wanted to get coverage for locally.
We decided to target print and online publications aimed at female entrepreneurs, as well as relevant local press for the roadshows.
During the PR campaign I have secured high profile coverage for Claire in Huffington Post, Marie Claire, Business Matters Magazine, Talk Business Magazine, The Guardian, Mumsnet, The Mummy Pages (400,000 unique users a month), BusinessZone (390,000 visitors per month), Working Mums Magazine, Mumpreneur UK , The Small Business Owner magazine, Become A Mumpreneur, Business Plus Baby, MicroBusinessHub, and We Are The City.
I also secured local coverage on The Herald Scotland, BBC 3 Counties Radio, Manchester’s Unity FM, the Milton Keynes Citizen, Manchester blog 4ManchesterWomen, Manchester Confidential website, and Greater Manchester Business Week magazine.
Lindsay Drabwell – DaisychainBaby
Lindsay wanted to gain some relevant publicity for her eco-friendly childrenswear company, DaisychainBaby. Together we agreed that we needed to target the female ABC1 25 – 40 demographic. We also wanted to target the local press, parenting magazines (including eco-conscious parenting mags) and ‘mummy blogs’.
Whilst carrying out the PR campaign, I secured extensive coverage for Lindsay on the Daily Mail’s website, mailonline.co.uk (19.2m unique browsers per month, the majority of which are ABC1 females, 46% of which have children), The Green Parent magazine, Juno magazine, a local website, a regional magazine, and several mummy blogs.

Following appearances in the press, Lindsay saw a sharp rise in the number of visitors to her website, and had a large number of extra sales. She has also raised her profile, particularly in the ‘mummy blogger’ sector.
Lindsay says: “Having first hired Dina Behrman Communications to do my PR in September 2012, I have been delighted with the results. Dina was quick to familiarise herself with my retail industry sector and developed appropriate news angles relevant to my business.
“Within two weeks of discussing the brief and a plan of action, we received coverage in the online version of a national daily newspaper which far exceeded our expectations.
“Dina is very personable and really listens to the client requirements. She is well able to adjust the services she provides to suit both budget, timeframe and spec and I have no hesitation recommending Dina Behrman Communications to any business looking to develop or improve their marketing profile.”
Other clients have had coverage in Cosmopolitan, Daily Mirror, Health & Fitness Magazine, BabyBuzz Magazine, Amateur Photographer, BBC radio, amongst others.
